Wildwood Garden
Discover the beauty of Wildwood garden at Bilpin.

Wildwood is a two-hectare garden neslted among 10ha of towering natives. It is set on a gentle slope with broad, crushed granite paths that meander beside a waterfall and ponds, then wind beneath the trees and across sweeping lawns to a tranquil lake. Seats are scattered throughout to encourage visitors to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.
Wildwood has a tearoom, gift shop, nursery, toilets, disabled parking and picnic grounds besides the lake.
Garden Admission:
Adults: $10, Concession: $8, Children under 16 years Free

An exhibition by Ann Evers

Fibre artist Ann Evers explores the struggles, adaptation and loss over the millennia that people have walked on this land. Using collected plant fibres along with collected cultural and natural material from Broken Hill and the West Darling region, Ann’s exhibition of works tells a story of how people have survived in this harsh region over the years. While most bees live solitary lives and don’t store honey, they are the world’s most efficient flower pollinators. They are beautiful, diverse and fascinating to watch with about 200 species of native bees calling Sydney and the surrounding regions home. Learn how to encourage many bee species into the garden by conserving or providing nesting habitat.

Join fibre artist Ann Evers to learn the ancient skill of basket weaving. Create your own sculptural piece from items collected from nature.
Ann will bring along some material to get participants started but reccommends that you collect some of your own prunings of vines and strappy plants such as lomandra, iris or dianella. Dry them in a shady area and bring them along.
